This scripture comes from a book Tyson made and gave to me on Friday night.  We celebrated my birthday a little early (it's Sept.10th) because Tyson had some gifts he was anxious for me to have.  He gave me two awesome gifts that I love and I'll share more on gift number two in the next post, but this one is priceless.  He put together a notebook called "Labor Meditations."  On the front were these two scriptures.  The first one has sort of become our theme verse in preparing for labor and natural childbirth.   Just remembering that God is not going to bring us to the point of birth and then leave us there is a great comfort and gives me courage.  He filled it full of all kinds of other thoughts and scriptures about courage, God being our strength, children, etc.  We are trying to meditate on these daily because I'm not sure we're going to exactly have our wits about us to break this out and start reading it in the middle of labor.  Anyway, I was so touched and blessed that my thoughtful husband put so much time and heart into making this notebook for us.

So excited for you two - and happy that the little one gets to rest for a bit longer after all ;-)
